Medical Forensic Class: CSI Experience Our students in the Medical Forensic class recently had a unique opportunity to put their crime scene investigation (CSI) skills to the test. They participated in an engaging and educational mock crime scene activity. Investigation Skills: Students were tasked to find, classify, document, and reconstruct a crime scene. This hands-on experience allowed them to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting. Team Collaboration: Working in groups, students took on various roles and responsibilities of a Crime Scene Investigator, fostering teamwork and communication skills. This activity not only enhanced their forensic science skills but also encouraged critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Health Science Classes Tour Weber State University. Our Health Science students recently had an incredible opportunity to visit Weber State University's Health Science department. This exciting educational trip allowed them to dive into the world of health sciences through hands-on experiences. The tour provided a fantastic glimpse into the academic and career possibilities at Weber State University. Our students thoroughly enjoyed exploring the facilities and learning about the diverse opportunities available in the health sciences field. We are excited to see the enthusiasm and interest this visit has sparked in our students. Thank you Mrs. Hartvigsen for providing experiences like these that broaden their horizons and inspire future healthcare professionals.

This year, the school's theme was Toy Story, and our talented students were invited to create a mechanical claw!

We were so excited to welcome several Elementary Principals to the ALC for lunch and a tour of our amazing campus! We are doing this in high school "feeder" groups over the next few weeks, e.g., elementary school(s) that will attend each high school.

Join Us for a Downtown Celebration! We are thrilled to invite you to a fun-filled evening celebrating the revitalization of Payson City’s Downtown! This exciting event will feature a variety of activities designed to engage and entertain the whole family.

Join us for the ALC D&D Night! All high schoolers from Nebo schools are invited to the ALC D&D Night! No experience is needed, so new players are totally welcome! The event will take place on November 7th from 4 to 8 pm at the ALC.

Fall break will be October 17th- 21st. We hope that you have a safe and enjoyable break. School will resume on the 22nd and it will be an "A" Day schedule.

Our ALC Medical Forensics students have jumped right into learning and have been incredibly busy these past few weeks. It is always a pleasure to walk around the halls and witness the students deeply engaged in their studies. Just another day in the life of our hard-working Medical Forensics students!

Do you like learning about computers? Well, here at the ALC we have a super cool program called RepairWare where you get to have hands on experience learning how to fix chromebooks! We are thrilled to report that ALC's first Career Night of the school year was an incredible success! The turnout was phenomenal, showcasing the strong interest and enthusiasm within our community. Attendees had the opportunity to engage in a night filled with learning and valuable information about potential career paths in engineering, mechatronics, and architecture.

Mr. Hawks's construction class recently had the opportunity to visit the Sunroc plant in Spanish Fork, offering students a firsthand look at career possibilities in the construction industry. During the trip, employees shared insights into their personal career paths and highlighted the many benefits of working for Sunroc, a company known for its strong presence in the construction sector. The trip left students excited and inspired, sparking interest in potential careers in construction.
