At our End-of-Year Assembly, we recognized some truly TERRIFIC 5th-grade students! Each year, 5th-grade teachers from the elementary schools in Salem and Spanish Fork nominate one boy and one girl who exemplify what it means to be TERRIFIC—thoughtful, Enthusiastic, Respectful, Responsible, Inclusive, Friendly, Inquisitive, and Capable. Your child will receive a PlayOn lanyard this May to kick off their summer journey. With it, they can complete over 100 screen-free activities, such as scavenger hunts, art projects, hikes, acts of kindness, and more.
After each activity, they visit local PlayOn sponsor locations to collect a badge and unlock amazing rewards like:
A free day at Splash Summit, Dreamwalk Park, free PlayOn T-shirts, Crumbl cookies, and visits to The Hive, Kidtopia, Coin Crazy, and more!

Foothills Elementary just wrapped up its third annual Chess Club—and what a great season it was! Maxwell Jimenez took 3rd place, Owen Jimenez earned 2nd, and Thomas Brockbank was crowned our Chess Club Champion! A big congratulations to all who participated and sharpened their strategic skills this year. Well played, Falcons!
Today at our End of Year Assembly, we had the chance to celebrate someone truly special—our incredible PTO president, Chelsea Childs! Chelsea and her amazing team work tirelessly behind the scenes to create opportunities, events, and memories for our students. Her dedication, hard work, and heart for our school do not go unnoticed.
